Summer Afternoon Residence

FAN-YU SHEN, ZOEY WU

Interior Space and Exhibition Design Summer Afternoon Residence by FAN-YU SHEN, ZOEY WU The design team used transparent partitions to reduce visual breaks and wooden folding windows to create a depth of view, which is the focal point of the apartment. Furthermore, the sliding glass doors and windows not only gently divide the space but also allow sunlight to flow through the living room windows into the kitchen. The space is filled with wood grains. The non-partitioned design allows light and shadow to move freely through the space. The beautiful sunlight reflects on the rustic wood grain and grey surfaces, giving them a matte finish.
